Committee in mass media: St. Petersburg placed on the first place by the number of e-government services

St. Petersburg is considered to be on one of the first places in Russia by number of Multifunctional centers and on the first place by number of e-government services. Chairman of the Committee on IT and Communications Ivan Gromov announced it during conference call with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

St. Petersburg has 33 stationary Multifunctional centers with 594 service desks and 3 mobile Multifunctional centers with 6 service desks. Over 2012 1.5 million citizens and organizations used Multifunctional centers, 1.2 million documents were applied for. Today Multifunctional centers provide 211 public and municipal e-government services of 46 authorities of St.Petersburg and 10 federal authorities.  

Ivan Gromov believes that 90% coverage of the population with Multifunctional center services will be achieved in St.Petersburg  by 2015 as set by the federal government.

Before 2015 more 29 Multifunctional centers with 440 service desks are planned to open, as well as more 16 service desks in current Multifunctional centers.
