e-BRIDGE System

e-BRIDGE system facilitates electronic interaction between public information systems of different departmental and administrative affiliation regardless of their software, hardware and linguistic tools. e-BRIDGE is an infrastructure system therefore it does not deliver any end-products, instead it provides technological support.

The system increases efficiency of formation and use of public information resources. It solves as well compatibility problem of informational systems of different departments regardless of time they were developed and/or modified.

Key members of interaction in e-BRIDGE are executive public authorities of St. Petersburg, public institutions subordinate to them and other entities involved in information interaction. e-BRIDGE technologies are successfully used in developing and operating city computer information systems which functionality require data from various information sources.

Key components of e-BRIDGE

  • Basic software and hardware infrastructure
    It is an intermediary in the information interaction. It manages interaction processes and provides certain web services and administrative regulations.
  • Integrated register of information resources and information systems 
    Register contains data on information resources and systems (data bases, registers, etc.) of executive public authorities, as well as data on information services and electronic administrative regulations offered to users.  
  • Service of classifiers of executive public authorities 
    Service provides nationwide and citywide classifiers (reference manuals and codifiers) necessary to ensure compatibility of information systems in interaction process.

e-BRIDGE system can enter not only information systems but also client applications, developed in accordance with service-oriented architecture (SOA) requirements. One of such examples is Integrated Client.

e-BRIDGE is based on SOA that provides intersystem interaction through information services. The system offers to use web services as an integration layer above the existing city systems.
